The Pirate Party is looking for a video ad for its election campaign. The Pirate Party fights for civil rights in the digital realm: user-friendly copyright laws, open democracy, open access to government information, protection of privacy.

Bitfilm supports the Pirate Party and encourages Bitfilm Network members to contribute films that may be used to promote the Pirates' goals. The winner film will be shown on German television.

The Pirate Party has won 7,1% in the European elections in Sweden and has entered the European parliament. It aims to win over 5% in the German parliamentary elections in September to enter the Bundestag and join a government coalition to actively protect the rights of "digital natives".
