This year the Bitfilm Festival Hamburg will take place in the mirror hall of the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (museum for the applied arts). In the afternoon there will be workshops with lectures and pitching sessions, targeted at media professionals and students. At night, the Mirror Hall will turn into a cinema, where we will screen the best digital animations of the year. The 2-day-festival pass which includes all workshops and screenings cost 30 Euros (25 Euros concessions). Please register here. Wednesday, October 6, 2 - 6 PM Stereo 3D is back! The big box office success of James Camerons „Avatar“ has inspired studios and independent film makers to ride the stereo 3D wave again. In this workshop, producers present their current projects and show their tricks to create the best three-dimensional illusion. Stereo 3D film makers may pitch their own projects to the experts to get a professional feedback. Please send your concepts with the subject line „Bitfilm Stereo 3D Workshop“ until October 1 to festival@bitfilm.com.
