On 27 September 1973, Reinhold Huff fled the German Democratic Republic for the Federal Republic of Germany. About 40 years later, Reinhold´s son Mark and Mark´s fellow student Arne Breusing habe chosen this daring flight from a police state as the central theme of their final bachelor-project. The resulting stereo 3-D animated film is a bold contrast to the glamorized version of the GDR portrayed in the media. In the film, which shows a world made of paper, the producers refer to contemporary borders with which free people limit themselves.
