Money & Me will be funded by a so called “crowd-funding” system. Bitfilm will sell FILMBITS for every second of the film – 6,000 total. For as little as EUR 300, you can purchase a FILMBIT. This entitles you to a share in the film's profits. In addition, every FILMBIT gives you three votes in the online vote. This means that when you buy e.g. four FILMBITS, your vote will count twelve times as much as the vote of a regular user who hasn’t purchased any.
Legal issues Legally, a FILMBIT is a loan that will be repaid in the form of a profit-sharing. We are using a model established by the successful British film production The Age of Stupid. The contracts were drafted by the highly renowned law company Unverzagt von Have based in Hamburg. Profit-sharing For every FILMBIT you will receive 0.01 % of the annual profits of the film for ten years. If you buy ten FILMBITS or more the profit share will increase to 0.011 %. With a purchase of 50 FILMBITS or more, your profit share will be 0.013%. Profits are all revenues of the film minus production and marketing costs (please reference the contract for the exact definition). Club 66 If you buy 66 FILMBITS or more you will become a member of the Club 66. As a Club 66 member you have the right to appear in the film personally for at least 66 seconds. Of course all other benefits will also apply. Early-bird Price The eary-bird price of EUR 300 per Filmbit will be guaranteed until July 1, 2010. After July 1 the prices will increase. This how you can invest in Money & Me: 1. Print out this contract twice. If you want to exercise your right to vote, ensure that you are a registered member of the Bitfilm Network. 4. When we have received the contracts and your payment, we will mail you your signed copy of the contract and symbolic FILMBITS. |
