We accept submissions for the category Animation on the subject Money & Me - e.g. animations that explain the reasons for a financial crisis. The recommended maximum length is three minutes (exceptions are possible). The prize money for the winner is EUR 2,500.
New submission deadline: August 31, 2010 Conditions You may submit a film by uploading it to our video server. Other forms of submission are not possible. The final version of the film needs to be in HD resolution (2K). For the screening copy we accept all standard video formats. The film will be visible in the Bitfilm Network and on our YouTube channel. Selection The Internet audience decides via a democratic vote, which short films will be selected for Money & Me. The seven most popular shorts in each category will be included in the film. The Bitfilm team may choose additional films in order to reach the final length of 100 minutes. Payment Every selected film will receive a yearly profit share of 0.18% of all profits for each minute of footage used in the final film. Upon closing a license deal the filmmakers will receive an upfront payment as a minimum guarantee. The value of this upfront payment depends on the film's overall budget. One third of the funds acquired for the film will be distributed among the participating film makers as minimum-guarantee payments. The other two thirds will be invested in production and marketing.
