Since 2000 we have been producing an annual festival for digital animation, which takes place virtually on the Web and in real life, in cities such as Hamburg, Barcelona, Tel Aviv and Bangalore.

This short clip also contains scenes from other festivals, so it's a good introduction. There are also some glimpses of our 2010 festival, for which we haven't had the time to finish the documentary yet (to come soon).

Documentary of the Bitfilm Festival 2009, which took place on the Internet, in Hamburg and in Tel Aviv (Israel).

It contains scenes from the opening ceremony in Hamburg, the closing event in Tel Aviv and many excerpts from films we selected for the festival.

The trailer was made from a viral video produced by DSG (Hamburg) with music by IAKA (Hamburg).

Documentary of the Bitfilm Festival 2008, which took place on the Internet, in Hamburg and in Stuttgart.

It focusses on the award ceremony, which took place in the Hamburg Planetarium and uses footage that ZDF German Television shot for its main news show.

The trailer was made by re-editing a Snickers commercial for the Russian market, originally made by the Stuttgart based company Unexpected with music by IAKA (Hamburg).
