The work is a collaboration between Aberdeenshire musician Fiona Soe Paing and New Zealand animation artist Zennor Alexander. The collaboration was formed in 2008 when Fiona was living in New Zealand, working with Zennor on visuals for her live performances. Fiona returned to live in Scotland in 2009, and since then, has shown and performed their collaborative work at events including the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012 ( in association with The Mutual Collective) Sound Festival Aberdeen, and as part of the Hi Arts film screenings at Wickerman, Belladrum and Loopallu festivals. Zennor is a self-taught animation artist and has been experimenting in 3D techniques since 2006. Fiona is a Scottish/Burmese composer and vocalist, and uses a mixture of Burmese, English and improvised abstract sounds in her vocal work, combined with minimal electronica production.
