The Living Building is an experiment to create habitable space using industrial shelving material. This two year long experiment has now created a community that not just uses the space, but also contributes to keeping it alive. We view Jaaga as a public, communal masterpiece in the making. A space constantly in flux, reacting to the creative inputs, demands & desires of her inhabitants & her surroundings. Through collaborations with visiting artists and technologists, who interact with its modular structure, Jaaga is a living, evolving building that pushes towards being sentient, environmentally responsible and reactive.
The film is an artistic take on the large-scale experiment to green the Jaaga structure. The experiment used vertical space 90 Sq. meters) to create a breathing wall of green plants that are fed on circulating water. The film is an expression of this experiment using a mix of 3D and 2D animation techniques
